WHO WE ARE

We are the people behind the experiences you love. We’ve spent our lives backstage. Making the magic happen. Providing the platform for others’ applause. And, we’re cool with that. Why? Because Faith Griggs’ project management, logistics, and execution experience meshes well with John Beckman’s work on conceptual development and guest experience.

Together we have experience in museums, theater, television, and location-based entertainment. We have also both worked for institutions and venues in permanent roles, so we have unique insight into operations and long-term ownership that some external consultants do not. This equates to Sage Creative Group having a combined 50 years of experience and deep industry resources to provide à la carte or complete experience management.

Faith has over 20 years of production experience with strong skills in listening, guiding, adaptation and making sure projects that start to stray off course, get back on track for a smooth experience. She works hand-in-hand with creative teams and production/fabrication/contractors to ensure adherence to schedules, budget and deliverables.

11 years managing Broadway tours and theaters, 5 years of museum exhibits at the Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago, and even more experience ranging from TV production to showing prize livestock. Faith makes it happen. She can make anything happen. Even Teamsters like her. Faith is a product of the University of Iowa and wears the black and gold proudly to this day.

John is currently the Director of Exhibit Design and Production at the Adler Planetarium and previously worked at the Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago for sixteen years leaving as the Director of Exhibit Design and Development. During his time there, he was responsible for the conception and execution of several blockbuster exhibitions including Robot Revolution, Numbers in Nature: A Mirror Maze, and the unique exhibit-event Leonardo da Vinci: Man, Inventor, Genius.

John holds degrees in theatrical design and art history from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY. He was also trained at the Motley Theatre Design Course in London, England and the Studio School of Stage Design in Jersey City.
